Scope of Work:

Capio Group is looking for an experienced Automation Testing Lead to provide QA/QC services to support teams for enterprise applications, covering end to end test planning, execution, automation, performance engineering, environment/test data coordination, and defect management. Activities will be conducted under client direction using approved tools (e.g., Azure DevOps/Jira/ALM/UFT/LoadRunner Enterprise), with automation on UFT (VBScript), Selenium, and/or Katalon integrated to CI/CD. The Automation Testing Lead shall provide per cycle test summary reports, coverage dashboards, and defect metrics (density, leakage, aging) to the client.

The Automation Testing Leadwill be responsible for servicesincluding but not limited to:

• Design, development, and maintenance of automated testing frameworks and scripts to support regression testing and continuous integration.
• Automation services will include but are not limited to: Development and maintenance of Katalon or other industry standard automation frameworks, Automated regression test suites, Cross-browser automation testing, Integration of automated tests with CI/CD pipelines, Automation coverage analysis, Automation maintenance and optimization.
• Analyze functional test cases and identify testing scenarios suitable for automation using UFT VBScript), Katalon, or Selenium per the client tooling standards.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Katalon Studio including reusable components, test suites, and data-driven test cases.
• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using the Katalon and/or Selenium automation framework to support regression and functional testing.
• Execute automated regression test suites with CI/CD gates (pass/fail) and publish pipeline reports (coverage, flakiness,duration) to the client dashboards.
• Maintain and update automation frameworks, automated regression test suites and supporting utilities to ensure compatibility with evolving application architectures, CI/CD pipelines and testing environments.
• Review automation test results, investigate failures, and update automation scripts to maintain reliability and maintainability of the automated test suite.
• Support integration of automated testing with the client approved test management tools and CI/CD platforms.
• Provide recommendations to improve automation coverage and optimize regression testing efficiency.

Mandatory Experience:

1. Within the last ten (10) years, must have a minimum of seven (7) years of experience in electronic data processing systems study, design, and programming.
2. Within the last ten (10) years, at least four (4) years of experience in electronic data processing systems study, design, and programming must be in a lead Capacity.
3. Must possess a bachelor’s degree in an IT-related or Engineering field. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis. A copy of the degree must be provided upon request.
4. Within the last ten (10) years, must have a minimum of seven (7) years in Automation testing, software engineering or IT systems development.
5. Within the last ten (10) years, must have a minimum of four (4) years in a lead role, managing automation testing initiatives.
6. Within the last ten (10) years, must have a minimum of four (4) years of experience designing and maintaining UFT automation frameworks using VBScript, including reusable components, object repositories, and error handling.
7. Within the last ten (10) years, must have a minimum four (4) years of experience designing automation frameworks for web, API, or batch applications.
8. Within the last ten (10) years, must have a minimum of four (4) years of experience implementing automation strategies, including coverage planning and regression optimization.
9. Within the last ten (10) years, must have a minimum four (4) years of experience using Selenium or equivalent frameworks in addition to UFT.
10. Within the last ten (10) years, must have a minimum four (4) years translating functional requirements into automation scenarios.
11. Within the last ten (10) years, must have a minimum four (4) years executing cross-browser and cross-platform automation testing.
12. Within the last ten (10) years, must have a minimum four (4) years using SQL for test data preparation.
13. Must be able to provide a client/user end reference contact information for each applicable project meeting the requirements upon request in the qualification form. In addition, you must be able to submit completed reference forms when requested. Each reference form must be signed by the referenced individual. The reference contact must be a representative of the company for which the project was developed and must have served in a management or supervisory role.

Desirable Experience:

1. Minimum ten (10) years of cumulative experience in automation testing, software engineering, or software development.
2. Within the last ten (10) years, must have a minimum seven (7) years of cumulative experience developing automation frameworks using UFT (VBScript) and/or modern tools such as Selenium or Katalon Studio integrated with CI/CD pipelines.
3. Within the last ten (10) years, must have a minimum five (5) years integrating automation frameworks with CI/CD pipelines, including automated execution reporting and pass/fail gating.
4. Within the last ten (10) years, must have a minimum three (3) years of hands‑on experience using Katalon Studio for automation framework development.
5. Within the last ten (10) years, must have a minimum ffive (5) years of experience achieving measurable automation outcomes:
   - Sustaining ≥65% automated coverage of regression test suite
   - Ensuring automated test execution stability with ≤5% test flakiness rate.
6. Within the last ten (10) years, must have a minimum two (2) years of experience supporting large scale enterprise benefit systems (eg: Unemployment Insurance or Disability Insurance) meeting defined *large scale enterprise system criteria.
   “Large Scale Enterprise System” is defined as an application or integrated system landscape that meets all of the following:
   1. Supports at least 2,500 concurrent users during peak periods, or at least 500,000 registered users and
   2. Processes at least 500,000 transactions or claims per year, or equivalent record/transaction volume across batch and online channels and
   3. Includes a multi-tier architecture spanning at least three of: web/portal, API/services layer, batch processing, and/or mainframe integrations or modern cloud-native services.
7. Possesses one or more of the below certifications: A copy of the certification must be provided upon request.
   - Katalon Certified Professional
   - ISTQB Test Automation Engineer
   - Certified Selenium Professional, CP-SAT, Foundation
8. Possession of a Master's degree in a Business Administration, IT or Engineering field. A copy of the degree must be provided upon request.
