Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
  • Eleven (11) years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree or ten (10) years with a Master’s degree.
  • Experience with test automation methodologies such as Selenium or Katalon.
  • Understanding of complete life-cycle software systems.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a matrixed team and plan/prioritize work.

Responsibilities

  • Define, document, analyze, perform, and interpret tests for processes, functions, and system integration, including UAT and test units.
  • Conduct system integration tests and UATs; create automated test scripts and coordinate with development staff.
  • Document successes/failures of test procedures and resolve operational problems with engineering teams.
  • Provide technical support and advice to other engineering groups.
  • Develop and refine quality control and reliability programs in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Oversee testing in a DevOps environment and report test results to customers and teams.

Automated Tester SME

This position requires an active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance to be considered.

Cherokee Preting is seeking an Automated Tester SME to support the test of access control systems for a government customer. The successful candidate will support continuity of our customer’s mission by helping ensure secure, reliable, and uninterrupted availability of IT systems.

Compensation & Benefits

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Automated Tester SME: $180,000-$210,000

Pay commensurate with experience.

Automated Tester SME Responsibilities Include
  • Define, document, analyze, perform, and interpret tests for processes, functions, system integration, and user acceptance testing including test units, processes, and functions.
  • Conduct system integration tests and user acceptance testing, create automated test scripts, and coordinate with the development team to perform tests.
  • Document the successes and failures of all executed test procedures.
  • Investigate and resolve operational problems in conjunction with other engineering and technical personnel.
  • Provide technical support and advice to other engineering groups.
  • Participate in the development, maintenance, and refinement of quality control and reliability programs.
  • Work with design engineers, production personnel, customers, and other stakeholders to identify and develop verification methods for system, subsystem, and component level requirements.
  • Investigate problems referred by customer support.
  • Plan, manage, and track project test efforts.
  • Evaluate and develop detailed test plans, procedures, and reports.
  • Oversee and perform testing in a DevOps environment.
  • Support testing after each deployment.
  • Work with automated testing techniques.
  • Work with Junit.
  • Oversee and perform test reporting.
  • Interact directly with customers, teammates, and functional peer groups.
  • Communicate with internal team members across multiple areas and client team members.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Automated Tester SME Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities Requested
  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Minimum of eleven (11) years of prior relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree OR minimum of ten (10) years of prior relevant experience with a Master’s degree. Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience with test automation methodologies such as Selenium or Katalon
  • Understanding and experience in complete life-cycle software systems
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Strong, effective, and professional communication (written/verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated experience working within matrixed teams
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize work without close supervision
  • Ability to take initiative in troubleshooting; creative in determining approach or action to take in non-routine situations
