This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead testing efforts for critical software solutions supporting a federal agency. As an Automation Tester, you will design and execute automated and manual tests to ensure the highest levels of quality, functionality, and performance. You will lead a team of testers, collaborate closely with development teams, and help maintain and enhance automation frameworks. This position demands a detail-oriented professional passionate about improving software reliability in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment.

Accountabilities:

· Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using tools such as Cypress, Playwright, and JIRA.

· Analyze requirements to create detailed test cases and scenarios for functional, regression, and performance testing.

· Identify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps.

· Collaborate with development teams to integrate testing into continuous delivery pipelines.

· Perform manual testing as needed and validate code changes using GitHub workflows.

· Maintain and improve test automation frameworks and supporting documentation.

· Stay up-to-date with emerging testing tools, techniques, and industry best practices.

· Take on additional responsibilities to support team goals and project success.

· Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

· Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in automation testing.

· Proficiency with Cypress, Playwright, JIRA, Jenkins, and version control tools like GitHub.

· Strong scripting skills in Java or Python and working knowledge of SQL.

· Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.

· Experience working in SAFe/Agile environments and familiarity with DevSecOps practices.

· Ability to obtain government clearance is required.
