*Job Title: Automation Tester* Job Description We are seeking an Automation Tester to support our auditing platform, which is built on regulatory and auditing standards. The role will involve developing and maintaining automated regression test cases and test plans in Azure DevOps, exploring and implementing test automation frameworks like Playwright, and collaborating with various teams to ensure the quality of our web services-based applications.
Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain automated regression test cases and test plans using Azure DevOps.
* Explore and implement test automation frameworks such as Playwright.
* Collaborate with development, product, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure quality of web services-based applications.
* Demonstrate strong technical skills in SQL, APIs, and web UI validation.
* Exhibit intellectual curiosity and ask clarifying questions.
* Engage in both manual testing and automation expertise.
Essential Skills
* Quality assurance and software testing.
* Experience in manual testing and quality assurance testing.
* Ability to create automation projects from scratch, covering API and UI test cases.
* Familiarity with existing automation frameworks developed by architecture teams.
* Experience with API testing tools like Rest Assured.
* Proficiency in SQL and non-relational databases like MongoDB.
* Log analysis skills to understand service communication and message flows.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
* Experience with UI regression and functional testing.
* Ability to work independently and conduct detailed investigations.
* Motivation to balance both automation and manual testing.
* Preference for Central Time (CST), Pacific Time (PST), or Mountain Time (MST) zones.

Work Environment The team is composed of a Test Manager and Sr. Tester, along with QA resources from Hexaware in India. Collaboration involves interfacing with product owners through knowledge transfer calls. The automation environment currently focuses on external APIs, with plans to support the automation framework and cover frequent regression testing. Work in a flexible and dynamic environment, with an emphasis on remote work and flexibility in scheduling.
Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Downers Grove, Illinois.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $75.00/hr.
