Job summary

Nidec Mobility America Corporation (NMOA) in St. Charles, IL, a world leader in sensing and control technology, seeks a Test Systems Engineer to support development and validation of automated test equipment for automotive components.

You will prepare electrical drawings, collaborate with customers to define test criteria, diagnose issues, and build flexible test systems while maintaining quality and cost targets.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of Test Design Engineer experience in electronics.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or similar preferred.
• Certifications such as CLAD, CLD, CTD, CLED preferred but not required.
• Experience with LabVIEW and TestStand for test automation.
• Knowledge of RS-232, Ethernet, CAN, LIN protocols.
• Familiarity with Automation Test Equipment (ATE).
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and study technical drawings and electrical specs for installations.
• Collaborate with customers to develop test criteria and methods.
• Provide support in resolving technical issues to meet test requirements.
• Diagnose faults in mechanical, software, and electronic systems.
• Interpret test results and provide informed conclusions.
• Develop/build test systems with efficiency, flexibility, and cost control.
• Produce calibration documentation for new and legacy equipment.
• Develop tester work instructions, drawings, and bills of materials.
• Perform other related duties as required.
