Job summary

Archer, in partnership with Verisk, seeks an Automation Test Lead to own the QA process and drive automated regression and functional testing across multiple applications. You will lead test planning, design, and execution within a fast-paced agile environment, implementing automation frameworks and maintaining test infrastructure.

The role requires 3+ years of experience in QA, strong scripting skills, and hands-on automation using Selenium, Cucumber, and Playwright.

Qualifications

• Experience breaking complex software systems.
• Ability to identify quality, performance and scalability weaknesses and automate testing.
• Leadership in QA process development, execution, and documentation.
• Strong knowledge of manual and automated testing methodologies.
• Experience with Agile and Scrum.
• Experience with automation testing products including Selenium, Cucumber and Playwright.
• Automation Framework Development using Selenium, Java and TypeScript.
• Experience in TDD, BDD, and ATDD.
• Experience in testing databases and APIs using automation tools.
• Experience in Mobile Automation Testing tools.
• Experience with LoadRunner/JMeter for load testing.
• Extensive knowledge of web technologies and testing web APIs/REST services.
• Experience in End-To-End integration testing.
• Experience integrating Selenium tests with CI servers like Jenkins.
• Experience testing hosted/cloud SaaS web applications is desirable.
• Experience in mobile and native mobile app testing.
• Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field.

Responsibilities

• Own the Software QA process, including test plans, scenarios, and cases.
• Analyze requirements and design specs for test cases.
• Recommend test automation approach, tools, and frameworks.
• Develop test infrastructure and custom automation tools.
• Perform manual and automated tests for websites and applications.
• Prioritize test execution and report defects with reproduce steps.
• Assist developers in defect analysis and system improvements.
• Own testing across multiple applications with varied tech stacks.
• Hands-on testing: requirements analysis and test case construction.
• Support functional and non-functional testing to ensure production readiness.
• Coordinate end-to-end testing with other technology groups.
• Drive test automation efforts, scripting, and resource oversight.
