Job summary

TrellisWare Technologies, Inc. in San Diego, CA is seeking an Automation Test Engineer (ATE) to design, implement, verify, and scale automated testing for cutting-edge radio hardware and software.

You will develop scripts, APIs, and UIs, analyze data, and collaborate with HW/SW teams to improve testability and throughput of TrellisWare products. The role requires VB.NET, C#, Python, Embedded Linux, and RF test equipment knowledge.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of object-oriented design.
• Knowledge of device drivers.
• SW development skills with database and web experience.
• Knowledge of embedded Linux development tools and Linux subsystems.
• Windows, Linux GUI and CLI tools for software installation and diagnostics; shell scripting a plus.
• OSI 7 layers model; strong on layers 1–4; 5–7 desirable.
• RF technology, radio design, RF test equipment experience.
• Hardware design and test fixture development a plus.
• Familiarity with IP networking, Raspberry Pi setup and integration.

Responsibilities

• Design, maintain, and deploy an automated scripting environment and test sequencer.
• Create and document programming APIs for rapid automated test development.
• Develop user interfaces for device capabilities access.
• Create, document, and run automated test scripts to characterize performance.
• Analyze data to diagnose performance issues and support process improvement.
