Job summary

Panasonic Avionics Corporation is seeking an automation-focused Software Test Engineer to advance testing across complex hardware/software systems in Irvine, CA. You will develop automated test strategies, implement end-to-end tests, and work closely with development teams in a lab environment.

Qualifications

• BS degree in CSE/Software/EE or equivalent.
• 3+ years software development experience.
• Automation test scripting on Linux with Python/Pytest, Selenium, Appium, Postman, shell scripting, HTML, JavaScript.
• Unix/Linux OS environments and shell scripting.
• Knowledge of SQL (MySQL, MariaDB, SQLite) and NoSQL (MongoDB).
• Understanding of networks and embedded systems.
• Familiarity with DevOps CI/CD pipelines and Gitlab.
• Docker and virtualization familiarity.
• Software testing methodologies and testing techniques.
• Familiar with Jira and test tooling.
• Familiar with Waterfall and Agile/Scrum.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute automated test strategies and plans.
• Create automation for functional, regression, and system tests.
• Review requirements for testability and define test data.
• Develop and deploy automated tests and expose integration tests.
• Create manual tests for coverage where needed.
• Maintain test environments and racks in lab.
• Execute tests, triage issues, document results.
• Collaborate with development teams for RCAs.
• Reproduce and verify fixes.
• Convert manual tests to automated.
