Automation Test Engineer III

The Automation Test Engineer III develops and implements automated tests to ensure product quality and efficiency. The role applies advanced QA practices, methodologies, and techniques to meet quality standards. The engineer utilizes testing tools, test management solutions, and data management approaches to support continuous testing. Responsibilities include developing and optimizing test automation frameworks, mentoring team members, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives.

Position Responsibilities

Design and Methodology
  • Designs testing plans and strategies for projects.
  • Leads defect detection, troubleshooting, and problem-solving efforts.
  • Develops test automation scripts for Web, Mobile, and API testing.
  • Researches and implements new testing tools and methods.
  • Maintains and extends build tools and test automation frameworks.
  • Contributes to code reviews emphasizing testability.
  • Identifies opportunities for automation within software processes.
  • Automates test cases and executes QA tests using scripts.
  • Implements test strategies and plans, including continuous testing with tools like Jenkins.
  • Identifies bugs and quality issues in development and business processes.
Technical Consulting
  • Collaborates with business units to improve workflows through automation.
  • Gathers requirements to develop effective test automation solutions.
  • Works with project teams to develop testing solutions and best practices.
Risk Management
  • Understands and applies risk mitigation, identification, and impact analysis in testing.
  • Ensures quality compliance and participates in Agile planning.
Administration/Support
  • Tracks weekly testing time, reports to management, and participates in meetings.
  • Completes required training.

Position Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field, or 10 years relevant experience.
  • ISTQB Certified Tester Test Automation Engineer (preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of technology experience, including 4 years in test automation and web/API/mobile testing.
  • Hands-on experience with Selenium or similar tools, and testing modern web frameworks.
  • Must have indefinite employment authorization; position not eligible for sponsorship.
