Job summary

Tetra Tech Digital Systems is seeking an experienced Automation Technician to support installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of automation and control systems for oil & gas and industrial facilities. You will work with PLCs, RTUs, HMIs, SCADA systems, instrumentation, and communication networks to ensure safe, reliable operations.

Responsibilities include startup, field support, calibration of process instrumentation, and supporting improvements and documentation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of automation, controls, instrumentation, or I&E experience in oil & gas or industrial operations.
• Experience with PLCs, RTUs, SCADA systems, and industrial communication protocols.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, loop drawings, one-lines, and electrical schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel and support field operations throughout West Texas and New Mexico.

We are seeking an experienced Automation Technician to support the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of automation and control systems for oil & gas and industrial facilities. Key Responsibilities

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel and support field operations throughout West Texas and New Mexico.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation, Automation, Electrical Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience supporting production facilities, compressor stations, pipelines, processing plants, or measurement facilities.
• ISA, NCCER, or other industry certifications.
