Job summary
Mpp is seeking an Automation Technician to develop and implement automation solutions that improve safety, efficiency, and reliability across plant operations. You will automate material handling, inspection tasks, and machine tending while supporting upgrades and troubleshooting as part of a cross-functional team.
The role emphasizes designing systems from concept through deployment, programming PLCs and robotics, and driving continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or technical certification in Industrial Controls or related field preferred.
- 2–5 years of control systems experience in manufacturing preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Responsibilities
- Design automation systems from concept to implementation.
- Develop and implement software control programs for robotic systems and PLCs.
- Repair and maintain mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components.
- Assist with safety, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
