I I Stanley Co., Inc in Battle Creek, MI is seeking an Automation Technician to assist in building, installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing automated equipment and control systems. You will support production operations to minimize downtime and ensure safe, efficient operation of machinery, robotics, PLCs, and automated systems.

Applicants should have an Associate degree in Automation Technology or related field, experience with PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi),

Qualifications

Associate degree in Automation Technology or related field preferred.
Experience with PLC troubleshooting and programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, or similar).
Working knowledge of robotics, servo systems, VFDs, HMIs, and industrial networks.
Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and maintenance management systems.

Responsibilities

Assist in building and installing automated equipment including wiring.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair automation equipment including PLCs, robotics, sensors, drives, HMIs, and pneumatic systems.
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on automated production equipment.
Program, modify, and troubleshoot PLCs and robotic systems as needed.
Analyze equipment failures and implement corrective actions to improve reliability and performance.
Support production by responding to equipment breakdowns and minimizing downtime.
Install, test, and commission new automation equipment and system upgrades.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
Calibrate and maintain sensors, instrumentation, and control devices.
Assist with continuous improvement projects focused on safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction.
Ensure compliance with company safety standards, policies, and procedures.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
Work collaboratively with engineering, maintenance, quality, and production teams.
