Job summary

The Coca‑Cola Company in Auburndale is seeking an Automation Technician to maintain and troubleshoot advanced control systems in a high‑production environment. You will work with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servos, and networks to minimize downtime and ensure product quality.

Responsibilities include interpreting schematics and P&ID diagrams, performing preventive maintenance, and recording activity in CMMS. Collaboration with engineering and safety teams is essential to uphold GMP and NFPA 70E standards.

Qualifications

5+ years of automation, controls, or electrical maintenance experience in manufacturing.
Proficiency with PLC programs, HMIs, VFDs, servo systems, and instrumentation.
Strong knowledge of NEC/UL508A and NFPA 70E safety practices.
Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical docs.
Experience with industrial networks and network architecture in operations.

Responsibilities

Conduct advanced troubleshooting and repair of PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servos, networks to minimize downtime.
Interpret ladder logic, wiring diagrams, and P&ID diagrams to assess health and fix issues.
Install/configure/test automation components while ensuring safe operation.
Monitor automated systems and perform preventive maintenance to improve reliability.
Maintain CMMS records for parts, work orders, and asset history.
Collaborate with maintenance/engineering on system mods and upgrades.
Calibrate process instruments for temperature, pressure, flow, and level.
Support continuous improvement initiatives in automation and reliability.
