Job summary

Cherokee Brick & Tile Company in Macon, GA is seeking an Automation Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, test, and repair automated manufacturing systems. You will diagnose malfunctions, perform preventive maintenance, and support continuous improvement efforts to keep production safe, efficient, and reliable.

You will work with PLCs, HMIs, drives, sensors, and related equipment, read schematics, and implement corrective actions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Technical training in electrical/automation preferred.
• Experience with PLCs or automation systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair automated production equipment including PLCs, HMIs, drives.
• Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend machinery life.
• Install, start up, shut down, and adjust automation and electrical systems per SOPs.
