Job summary
Toyo Tires in Georgia is seeking an experienced Automation Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and improve PLC‑controlled manufacturing equipment and control systems. You will diagnose electrical, controls, and instrumentation problems and implement fixes to reduce downtime and improve reliability, safety, and production efficiency.
You will collaborate with Maintenance, Production, Engineering, Reliability, IT/OT, and vendors, delivering hands‑on, shop‑floor support while developing
Qualifications
- Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing PLC‑controlled manufacturing equipment.
- Knowledge of robotics, HMIs, industrial networks and drives.
- Ability to diagnose electrical, controls, instrumentation, and communication problems.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot PLC‑controlled manufacturing equipment during production failures.
- Assist with preventive and predictive maintenance of automation systems.
- Maintain and troubleshoot PLC/HMI systems and related hardware.
- Identify and implement improvements to reduce downtime and improve reliability.
- Document work in the CMMS and follow change management procedures.
- Provide hands‑on troubleshooting training to maintenance staff.
