Job summary
Torrey Holistics in Milwaukee, WI, is seeking an Automation Technician to support installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, programming, and maintenance of automated equipment and control systems.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with robot programming, PLCs, and advanced automation troubleshooting, plus strong electrical, mechanical, and preventive maintenance skills. Travel to customer sites may be required.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with industrial automation, machinery, controls, or maintenance.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in electrical and mechanical domains.
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and control diagrams.
- Experience with PLCs, HMIs, and robot programming is preferred.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair automated machinery and equipment.
- Program, modify, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and robots when qualified.
- Support robot setup, programming, calibration, and recovery.
- Read schematics and drawings; identify root causes and implement fixes.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on automation systems.
- Install, wire, configure, and commission control systems.
- Maintain documentation of repairs, modifications, and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with engineers, programmers, and technicians to resolve issues.
- Travel to customer facilities for installation, service, and commissioning.
