Job summary

Actalent in Princeton, IN is seeking an Automation Technician to support the Battery Pack Assembly engineering group by developing, validating, and commissioning automated equipment and PLC-controlled systems. You will troubleshoot PLC programs, integrate robotics and vision systems, review drawings, and collaborate with global teams to meet safety, quality, and productivity targets.

The role requires 2-year technical degree or 3+ years of experience, willingness to travel up to 50%, and

Qualifications

Two-year associate degree in a technical field or three+ years of relevant experience.
Experience with PLC programming using Omron or Siemens.
Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
Willingness to travel up to 50% and work overtime.
Self-motivated and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Develop equipment specifications and confirm compliance with engineering and safety standards.
Support installation and commissioning of manufacturing equipment.
Troubleshoot PLC programs to improve reliability and performance.
