Job summary
Regeneron is seeking an experienced Automation Technician to support and troubleshoot biopharmaceutical manufacturing equipment using HMIs and PLCs on the 2nd shift in Rensselaer, NY. You will work on GMP bulk biologics, fill/finish, and clean utilities systems, with on-site presence and rotating on-call coverage.
The role requires PLC/HMI troubleshooting, ladder logic, PID control, and the ability to read electrical schematics, while maintaining safety and compliance in a high-pressure
Qualifications
- Experience troubleshooting PLCs, HMIs, and computerized systems, preferably in a regulated environment.
- Knowledgeable with ladder logic, PID control, electrical control systems, instrumentation, and AC/DC circuits.
- Able to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose automation and control system issues.
Responsibilities
- Provide automation technical support, troubleshooting and assistance during routine operations, maintenance, equipment setups and changeovers for GMP manufacturing operations.
- Identify and implement corrective or preventive maintenance on automated systems.
- Communicate and coordinate automation issue resolution with manufacturing and facilities groups.
- Perform full gowning when entering production areas.
- Adhere to PPE requirements and safe work practices on energized equipment and construction environments.
- Demonstrate a troubleshooting mindset with attention to detail and reliable operations.
- Manage multiple priorities in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
