Job summary

SBA Group, through its US facility in Davie County, NC, is seeking an Automation Technician to maintain highly automated furniture manufacturing equipment, including servo-driven systems, PLCs, and robotics.

You will oversee electrical maintenance with a team of Automation Electricians, ensuring safety, reliability, and efficiency while documenting work in CMMS/SAP and aligning with OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechatronics or related field.
• 3+ years of automation maintenance experience in manufacturing (woodworking preferred).
• Strong knowledge of servo-driven systems, PLCs, sensors, and safety circuits.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on highly automated furniture manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical, controls, automation, and instrumentation failures to minimize downtime.
• Support robotic and automated production cells and validate automation performance.
• Monitor machine reliability, downtime, and maintenance KPIs; maintain CMMS/SAP records.
• Guide and mentor a team of electricians and coordinate with Production and Engineering teams.
