Stark Tech seeks a Building Automation Systems Technician to diagnose, evaluate, test, calibrate, and repair building automation systems in commercial properties.

You will support owner and user training and strive for customer satisfaction and business outcomes while developing expertise to become a trusted advisor to clients.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering or Information Technology required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience with building subsystems and HVAC control concepts is expected.

Work Experience

• Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering or Information Technology required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• At least two (2) years’ experience with mechanical and/or electrical engineering systems.
• Demonstrated knowledge of construction or HVAC industry, control theory, automatic temperature controls, fire alarms, building automation systems and other building subsystems.
• Demonstrated experience in the integration of low voltage building sub-systems using various industry protocols (i.e. LON, BacNet, etc).
• Knowledge of HVAC&R theory, solid mechanical, electrical troubleshooting and repair skills a plus.
• Must have or be able to obtain 10-hour OSHA certification. 30-hour OSHA is a plus.
• Be highly motivated and an independent thinker.
• Must have be able to thrive in a fast pace setting and adapt/be flexible in a changing environment.
• Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required.
• Operating knowledge of Microsoft office software and working proficiency with handheld devices, such as Smartphones, iPads, etc.
• Ability to communicate with customers and coworkers regarding inspection and service findings is required.
