Job summary

Bal Seal Engineering (BSE) in California seeks an Automation Engineering Technician II to sustain and improve automated manufacturing and inspection equipment, maximizing safety, uptime, quality, and production performance.

The role involves troubleshooting, repair, preventive maintenance, equipment improvements, and supporting Automation Engineers during development, validation, and deployment of new automation systems.

Qualifications

Associates Degree or certificated post‑secondary coursework in electronics, robotics or electro‑mechanical and/or minimum 3 years demonstrated experience in a similar technical environment

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance on machines and automated equipment
Support CI initiatives and develop new CI opportunities
Communicate with stakeholders and employees across the organization
Coordinate maintenance with Operations to minimize downtime
Assist engineers with integration, testing and deployment of new automation systems
Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment to support production operations
Set up precision tooling, robotic/automated systems, PLCs, and vision systems
Develop PM work instructions and maintain PM schedule
Assist in development of tools and fixtures to improve equipment uptime
