Job description

LOCATION: 8451 Hwy 175 Grand Cane, Louisiana 71032

POSITION SUMMARY: Performs work related to operation and maintenance of instruments and control as well as electrical equipment at plant and field facilities, including processing plants, compressors, compressor stations and dehydration equipment. Presents a positive and professional image to customers, vendors, employees, and the public.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.Makes routine operational and calibration checks on instruments, safety and control equipment, measurement equipment,gas and liquid analyzers and communications systems.

2.Tests, calibrates, and repairs safety, control, shut downand analytical devices on a regularly scheduled basis.Develops and maintains such schedules.

3.Maintains instrument and control equipment data log sheets and computer based preventive maintenance system.

4.Makes routine and emergency calibrations and adjustments to correct abnormal operation of instruments and controllers and reports such conditions and corrective actions to operators and supervisor.

5.Maintains spare parts inventories for critical safety equipment and spare parts deemed necessary for reliable plant operation.

6.Maintains instruments and control equipment in a clean and serviceable condition.

7.Assists in installation, calibration, start-up, commissioning and programming of instruments and control equipment.

8.Maintains computer equipment and software for plant and office operations when necessary.

9.Maintains test equipment inventory in ready condition.

10.Maintains company communication systems including telephone, radio, SCADA system and microwave system.

11.Maintains medium, and low voltage AC and DC electrical systems.

12.Adheres to all Company Safety and Environmental requirements and participates in program development and reviews.

13.Must maintain strict confidentiality at all times, including the ability to recognize situations in which confidentiality is required.

14.Establish and maintain effective working relationships with company managers, coworkers, clients, contractors, and the public.

15.Must pass pre-employment drug test and criminal history background check, and will be subject to random, for-cause and post- accident drug testing, in accordance with Company policies and procedures.

16.Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the company’s vehicle insurance policy.

17.Performs other job-related duties and special projects as assigned by supervisor.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

·High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.

·Minimum of six years’ experience in plant and compression instrumentationand electrical work. The six-year requirement may be modified depending on qualifications.

·Must have working knowledge of electrical and instrumentation drawings.

·Must have a strong background in electronics, computers, programming, control systems and PLC’s.

·Must have a strong background in medium and low voltage AC and DC electrical installation, troubleshooting and repair.

·Working knowledge of pneumatic and electronic engine/compressor control systems, gas detection and emergency shut down system, operation, repair, and maintenance.

·Must have detailed understanding of Process Safety Management (PSM) regulations and operating practices.

·Working knowledge and skill using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Internet Explorer, and Microsoft Outlook.

·Must have valid driver’s license and be insurable under the Company’s vehicle insurance policy.
