An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Electronics Technician to ensure optimal operation of crucial systems at Department of Defense installations. This position is for an IAS/ATG/OPS/GVS Electronics Technician. Working alone or in small teams, this individual will perform testing and maintenance functions on Automatic Tank Gauging Systems, Independent Alarm Systems, Overfill Protection Systems, and Ground Verification Systems at Department of Defense installations across the United States and the Pacific region.
The Electronics Technician ensures proper operation of fuels accounting, alarm monitoring and controls, and leak detection equipment. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and installing electronic components and electrical systems using hand tools and testing instruments. The technician must keep organized, detailed records of work performed.
The role involves coordinating travel to customer sites, managing material stocks, maintaining safety equipment, and supplying basic hand tools & testing equipment. Effective communication with dispatchers, managers, and installation teams is essential to maintain schedules and convey delays to customers. The individual must also be able to submit weekly travel expense reports.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of various systems at Department of Defense installations across the continental United States, Caribbean, Hawaii, Japan, Guam, and Diego Garcia.
This position is covered by the McNamara-O'Hara Service Contract Act (SCA). Wage range is determined on a contract basis by the Department of Labor.
