Job summary

gobravvo seeks an Automation Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain automated production and facility equipment in our automotive manufacturing environment in Acworth, GA. You will support robotic systems and PLC-based controls, collaborating with engineering and operations to minimize downtime.

The role requires hands-on maintenance, ABB Robotics expertise, and strong PLC troubleshooting skills, with safety and continuous improvement as core pillars of daily work.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with automated equipment in an industrial environment.
• At least 2 years of maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Demonstrated experience in automotive manufacturing is required.
• Proficiency with ABB Robotics is required.
• Expertise in Allen‑Bradley PLC programming and troubleshooting is required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair automated production equipment and robotic systems, including ABB Robotics.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on assembly and manufacturing systems.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and modify PLC logic using Allen‑Bradley controllers to support automated equipment.
• Diagnose and repair control systems, electrical components (110V and 480V), and power transmission systems (pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical).
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation to support maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers to identify and resolve equipment issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Recommend equipment upgrades and process improvements to help achieve production goals.
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to company and industry safety standards and procedures.
• Troubleshoot high-volume production equipment and implement corrective actions promptly.
