Overview
Automation Technician role focusing on maintenance, troubleshooting, and programming support within an industrial setting.
Responsibilities
- Understand and follow work instructions and control plans
- Maintain an organized, clean work environment and positively impact the plant’s safety initiatives
- Conduct PLC ladder logic troubleshooting, hardware troubleshooting, programming and analog inputs & outputs
- Conduct troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of AC & DC motors and drives
- Perform basic programming and troubleshooting of robotic equipment
- Instruct team members on robotic paths, I/O, and interfacing
- Assist Automation Engineers and other departments during development, installation, and programming of line upgrades and line installations
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required
- AAS Degree with an Automation or Robotics emphasis preferred
- Demonstrated understanding of basic concepts, programming, and troubleshooting of CNC servo controls, encoders, and resolvers
- Valid driver’s license required for travel to other facilities or training locations
- Must demonstrate excellent attendance, attitude, and decision-making skills
