Overview
The Automated Dispensing Technician maintains inventory, performs restocks, and visits clients to troubleshoot problems with automated technology. Acts as the point of contact for the automated dispensing system.
Responsibilities
- Maintain automated dispensing system inventory and restock daily.
- Visit customers to troubleshoot issues and perform medication audits.
- Handle automation-related issues.
- Prepare finished prescriptions, label correctly, and perform light warehouse duties.
- Fill drug orders accurately and efficiently under pharmacist supervision.
- Package materials and products manually.
- Assist with returned drugs, recycling, disposal, and pre-packing medications.
- Assist in shipping and order preparation.
- Follow government regulations including HIPAA.
- Perform other duties as assigned; responsibilities may vary.
- Knowledge of Data Entry and IV experience is a plus.
Qualifications
- Experience in pharmacy automation (preferred: TCGRX and Dosis).
- Willingness to travel.
- Licensed/Registered pharmacy technician per Florida law.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- One year pharmacy experience, preferably in long-term care.
- Good organizational skills, detail-oriented.
- Basic math and analytical skills.
- Computer proficiency.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Physical ability to perform light lifting.
- Flexibility to work various shifts and days.
Physical Demands
- Sit or stand 7-10 hours per day.
- Occasionally sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, walk, crawl.
- Work extended hours as needed.
- Lift/move up to 50 pounds.
