About Terrestrial Bio, Inc.

Terrestrial is transforming the delivery of next-generation therapies, starting with GLP-1. Terrestrial’s proprietary Tacterra™ microarray patch (MAP) and applicator platform consists of a patch resembling an adhesive bandage, which is applied with a preloaded applicator and removed after a few minutes. Once applied, each patch delivers bioactive tips into the skin, which dissolve quickly into the body, rapidly releasing their therapeutic payload. Designed for self-administration, the temperature-stable Tacterra™ platform enables precise, controlled delivery of a wide range of therapeutics without medical sharps or refrigeration.

Terrestrial has generated strong clinical and in‑vivo proof of concept across multiple molecules. For more information, visit www.terrestrialbio.com.

Why this role

This is a rare chance to own automation hands‑on as a manufacturing operation scales from the ground up. You won't be maintaining someone else's system — you'll be building, troubleshooting, and improving the equipment that makes a first-of-its-kind therapeutic platform possible. As production volume grows, your decisions on preventive maintenance, equipment reliability, and process improvement will directly shape how well the operation scales. You'll work closely with the automation team and cross‑functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and quality — with real influence over the technical direction of the floor.

What you'll do
  • Troubleshoot and repair automated equipment, machinery, and hardware systems to minimize downtime
  • Build, assemble, and install custom automated equipment, test fixtures, and prototype systems
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing safety, efficiency, reliability, and product quality
  • Develop and maintain SOPs for equipment maintenance
  • Own and manage the preventive maintenance (PM) program, including scheduling and documentation
  • Analyze equipment performance, maintenance records, and failure logs to optimize PM strategy
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and product development on new product introductions and production activities
  • Ensure equipment operates safely and in compliance with company and regulatory standards
Who you are
  • 10+ years of experience in maintenance, mechanical/electrical assembly, or a related technical role
  • Strong troubleshooting experience across electrical, mechanical, controls, and robotic systems in automated manufacturing environments
  • Hands‑on experience with automated production equipment, sensors, motors, pneumatics, and industrial controls
  • Comfort working in laboratory and cleanroom environments with required PPE (lab coats, shoe covers, hairnets, safety glasses, gloves)
  • Experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, or other regulated manufacturing preferred, especially with high‑volume automated lines
  • Working knowledge of PLCs, machine vision, motion control, robotics, or basic programming is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize across multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Self‑motivated, adaptable, and driven to keep learning as automation technology evolves
