Job summary

RugPadUSA is seeking a motivated Robotics/Mechanical Technician to maintain and repair automation systems on the production floor. You will troubleshoot sensors, log maintenance activities, and coordinate with vendors to minimize downtime.

This role requires PLC experience and OSHA awareness, with a degree in mechanical engineering or robotics and 1–3 years in similar work. We offer growth opportunities in a growing direct-to-consumer manufacturing business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate in mechanical engineering, robotics, or related field.
• 1–3 years experience in robotics or mechanical technician roles.
• OSHA knowledge and safety compliance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and replace automation systems at key points in the production process.
• Troubleshoot non-functioning components including sensors and control components.
• Log equipment usage, parts replacement, and scheduled maintenance to ensure maximum functionality.
• Periodically report to Operations Manager regarding automation capabilities and status.
• Work with vendors specific to the automation line when repairs or malfunctions occur.
• Receive and complete daily production needs from floor supervisor.
• Ensure OSHA, state, and local safety and environmental standards are followed.
