Job summary

Technimark LLC in Pharr, TX seeks a maintenance technician responsible for safety-compliant operations and sustaining automated equipment across multiple work centers. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, document activities, and support automation startups and changesovers.

You will troubleshoot servo-driven systems, PLCs, and electrical schematics, while mentoring technical associates and ensuring high OEE through systematic improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Execute preventive and corrective maintenance and document activities in the asset system.

  • Assist with production start-ups, changeovers, and equipment relocations as needed.
  • Provide training to shift operators to improve equipment performance and OEE.

Job description

  • Responsible of follow all safety guidelines, for maintaining a safe work environment and sees that all shop safety rules are being followed, and all housekeeping standards are met.
  • Responsible for ensuring equipment reliability by executing preventive and corrective maintenance tasks and documenting all maintenance activities within the company's asset management system.
  • Responsible for ensuring all shift production data is properly recorded and maintained for all work centers in the IQ system.
  • Responsible for starting up and operating automation systems, adjusting axis positions and preset parameters, and implementing minor programming changes on automation equipment, robots, PLCs, and other mechanical and electrical assets.
  • Responsible for replacing, repairing and improve mechanical and electrical components.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting complex servo-driven systems, vacuum circuits, and PLC-controlled machinery using digital multimeters and technical documentation, including mechanical drawings and electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.
  • Responsible for supporting the training and development of technical associates in process excellence through classroom instruction, on-the-job training, and mentoring.
  • Responsible for assisting with production start-ups and changeovers related to automation equipment. Duties may include, but are not limited to, leveling and squaring automation and robot end-of-arm tooling, centering mechanical components, and relocating automation equipment as needed.
  • Performs other related duties and special projects as assigned by the Manager or direct supervisor.
  • Performs facility maintenance and repair activities, as required and assigned, to support building and infrastructure upkeep.
  • Serves as a troubleshooter for automation, secondary equipment, and related issues during development runs.
  • Responsible for training shift operators on the proper operation of automation systems to help improve equipment performance and overall OEE.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert by providing machine and process expertise in the investigation, analysis, and implementation of preventive actions related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance.
