Job summary

Brightpath Associates LLC is seeking an automation technician to set up and program sprue-picking robots and 6-axis robots on injection molding lines. You will troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and vision systems, and assemble end-of-arm tooling from electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical schematics.

Applicants should have an associate degree in automation or related field, with 2+ years of PLC and robot programming experience. Injection molding experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of PLC programming experience.
• Minimum 2 years of industrial robot programming experience.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic schematics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer skills.
• Associate degree (2-year) in Automation, Mechatronics, Fluid Power, or a related field.
• Experience working with injection molding machinery.

Responsibilities

• Set up and program/adjust sprue-picking robots on injection molding machines.
• Set up and adjust programs on 6-axis robots (Fanuc).
• Troubleshoot and program PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and vision systems (brands include Allen-Bradley, Maple Systems, Fanuc, Arburg, Cognex, and Delta).
• Read and follow schematics to assemble end-of-arm tooling for robots.
• Assemble and install custom equipment on the production floor using electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical schematics.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot control systems, including relay logic, ladder diagrams, photo-eyes, motor starters, limit switches, proximity sensors, and solenoids.
