Job summary

Danos, LLC is seeking an Automation Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair automation equipment across our oil and gas facilities in Texas. This role demands hands-on maintenance of PLCs, RTUs, HMIs, and SCADA systems, plus calibration of process instruments.

You will work with Operations, I&E Technicians, and Engineering to resolve issues, document activities, and support start-ups and after-hours calls.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of oil and gas automation, instrumentation, or electrical maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or GED; technical degree preferred.
• Experience with PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schneider, etc.) is preferred.
• Familiarity with SCADA systems and RTUs.
• Understanding of instrumentation, process controls, and electrical troubleshooting.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and P&IDs.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Physical requirements: work outdoors in varying weather, lift to 50 pounds, climb ladders, work at heights, enter confined spaces when required, walk, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
• Must meet conditional job offer requirements including background, drug test, MVR check, fit for duty and agility.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret electrical schematics, loop drawings, P&IDs, and wiring diagrams.
• Coordinate with Operations, I&E Technicians, and Engineering to resolve equipment issues.
• Document maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment changes.
• Ensure all work complies with company safety policies and industry regulations.
• Participate in emergency call-outs and after-hours support as required.
