Job summary

Foxconn Assembly, LLC is seeking an Automation Equipment Technician to support the automated manufacturing equipment in the facility. You will perform setup and programming, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure maximum uptime.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in engineering (Manufacturing/Robotics/Mechanical/Electrical) or a Vocational/Technical certificate, plus 1–2 years of robotics or automated production experience in manufacturing. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Manufacturing, Robotics, Mechanical, or Electrical).
• A certificate from a Vocational/Technical School is also acceptable.
• 1-2 years of robotic equipment or automated production systems in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Initial set up of new automation equipment, including programmable controllers, robot controllers, end of arm tools, automated placement machines, and conveyors.
• Troubleshoot and repair automation equipment to avoid or minimize production downtime.
• Perform preventative maintenance on robotic equipment and automated production systems.
• Maintain spare parts inventory to enable quick-turn repair of any automation equipment to avoid down time.
• Program automated equipment to perform desired tasks.
• Maintain accurate service records of all automation equipment.
• Will be required to perform physical work on the manufacturing floor, this may mean frequent squatting, bending, reaching, or standing to gain access to the equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
