Intellectt Inc. seeks a skilled Injection Molding Automation Technician to diagnose, troubleshoot, and optimize automation systems and robotics. You will program molding robots, adjust paths for better cycle times, and maintain machine health onsite in Lake Bluff, Illinois.

The role requires 2–5 years in injection molding automation, strong PLC/HMI/sensor knowledge, and EOAT familiarity. Onsite work with ISO/FDA/GMP compliance is expected; compensation is $35–$37 per hour (W-2) with fulltime

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–5 years of experience in injection molding automation or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with industrial robot programming and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of PLCs, HMIs, and industrial sensors.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Familiarity with end-of-arm tooling (EOAT) design and maintenance.
• Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Technical certification or an associate degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, or Industrial Automation preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Diagnose and troubleshoot injection molding automation systems, including robotics, conveyors, sensors, and vision systems.
• Respond to equipment alarms and faults to minimize downtime.
• Program and optimize molding robots (Sepro, FANUC, Yushin, Wittmann).
• Adjust robot paths and sequences to improve cycle times and part quality.
• Maintain robot program backups and technical documentation.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automation equipment.
• Identify and implement improvements to automation layouts and workflows.
• Follow ISO, FDA, and GMP requirements as applicable.
• Support mold trials, new product launches, and automation sequence setup.

Descripción del empleo

• Diagnose and troubleshoot injection molding automation systems, including industrial robots, conveyors, sensors, and vision systems.
• Respond to equipment alarms and faults to minimize production downtime.
• Program and optimize molding robots, including Sepro, FANUC, Yushin, and Wittmann.
• Adjust robot paths and sequences to improve cycle times, part quality, handling, degating, and packaging.
• Maintain robot program backups, equipment settings, and technical documentation.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automation equipment.
• Replace worn components and calibrate sensors and actuators.
• Support mold trials, new product launches, and automation sequence setup.
• Identify and implement improvements to automation layouts, workflows, and production efficiency.
• Participate in Kaizen events and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
• Follow applicable equipment safety requirements and quality standards, including ISO, FDA, and GMP requirements where applicable.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–5 years of experience in injection molding automation or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with industrial robot programming and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of PLCs, HMIs, and industrial sensors.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Familiarity with end-of-arm tooling (EOAT) design and maintenance.

• Technical certification or an associate degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, or Industrial Automation preferred.
• B.E. qualification listed in the original requisition; confirm whether it is mandatory or preferred.
• Must be able to work onsite in Lake Bluff, Illinois.

Pay Scale

• Anticipated hourly pay range: $35/hr to $37/hr on W-2, subject to applicable requirements and final confirmation.
