Automation Technician
Hours: 12-hour shifts, nights, 7pm-7am, under a 2-3-3 rotation, working 3 days one week (36 hours) and 4 days the next (48 hrs).
Pay: $36-$38/hour plus shift premium 10%.

Job Description:
As an Automation Technician, you will support end of arm tooling (EOAT), robots, and automated assembly machinery, as well as provide input for process improvements in a manufacturing environment.
- Know and follow all of the company's safety rules, including safe work practices and standard operating procedures.
- Serve as a role model for safe work practices by conducting yourself professionally, prioritizing safety for yourself and others.
- Learn and master all necessary areas of the quality system.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Perform robotic programming, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Support automated machinery production runs by resolving technical issues.
- Train others on assembly machines and robot setups.
- Ensure work instructions are current.
- Order parts and materials as needed.
- Troubleshoot assembly equipment and machinery such as pad printers, sonic welders, heat stakers, and hot stampers.
- Identify unsafe equipment and ensure safe operation prior to line startup.
- Set up robots, EOAT, conveyors, degators, secondary equipment, etc.
- Build fixtures and guarding as needed.
- Document robotic application development and maintenance, including creating backups of programs and parameters.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience and Skills:
- High school diploma or GED required; a two-year technical college or four-year university program in a related field is preferred.
- 6-10 years of relevant experience.
- Fork truck and Lockout Tagout certification.
- Experience working with conventional manufacturing equipment like milling machines, lathes, saws, and hand tools.
- Proficiency with 6-axis and SCARA type robots (Fanuc).
- Toolmaker/Machine Builder experience is a plus.
