Position Summary
Assists with scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repair of all Automated Material Handling systems. Previous material handling system experience is not required for this position.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
- Uses advanced troubleshooting skills to diagnose and repair mechanical problems.
- Diagnoses mechanical and basic electrical problems using technical drawings.
- Minimizes downtime and unsafe conditions by performing preventative and predictive maintenance.
- Conducts routine inspections of material handling equipment.
- Assists in troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment issues.
- Documents maintenance activities and repairs.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of work areas.
- Assists in inventory management and spare parts tracking.
- Follows all OSHA and internal safety standards.
- Possesses a passport and the ability to travel to Canada and Mexico.
- Has 3 years’ experience working as an automotive technician, HVAC system technician, elevator repair, electrician, building maintenance worker, or experience working with machinery, or equivalent experience.
- Has 1–2 years of experience working in the material handling industry preferred but not required.
- Experience with a CMMS platform is a plus.
- Has working knowledge of handheld and power tools and how to use them.
- Can troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and basic electrical defects.
- Can interpret mechanical drawings.
- Is self‑motivated, organized, and detail‑oriented.
- Has knowledge of safe industrial work practices.
- Has strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Has a customer service orientation.
- Can work collaboratively in and contribute to a team setting.
- Has intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Can follow maintenance manuals and procedures to repair equipment.
- Is able to assist in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all material handling equipment and components (a plus).
Hourly Rate
$25.00 ‑ $38.00 per hour.
