Job summary

Daifuku is seeking a maintenance technician to support scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of all Automated Material Handling systems at our U.S. facility. The role emphasizes diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and reliable repairs in a fast-paced intralogistics environment.

Candidates should have 3 years in related technical roles and a willingness to travel to Canada and Mexico; 1–2 years in material handling is preferred. Strong safety, communication, and teamwork skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • 3 years experience as technician in automotive, HVAC, elevator repair, electrical, or related fields.
  • 1–2 years experience in material handling is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to travel to Canada and Mexico with a passport.
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings.
  • Experience with CMMS is a plus.
  • Safety-conscious and knowledgeable about industrial practices.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, organized and detail oriented.

  • Documents maintenance activities and repairs.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of work areas.
  • Assists inventory management and spare parts tracking.
  • Follows OSHA and internal safety standards.

Overview

With hundreds of engineers in‑house, the company designs, manufactures, integrates, and installs the full spectrum of intralogistics solutions, including conveyor and sortation systems, voice and light‑directed order fulfillment equipment, controls and software, robotics, mezzanines, and structures.

Position Summary

Assists with scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repair of all Automated Material Handling systems. Previous material handling system experience is not required for this position.

Responsibilities & Qualifications
  • Uses advanced troubleshooting skills to diagnose and repair mechanical problems.
  • Diagnoses mechanical and basic electrical problems using technical drawings.
  • Minimizes downtime and unsafe conditions by performing preventative and predictive maintenance.
  • Conducts routine inspections of material handling equipment.
  • Assists in troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment issues.
  • Documents maintenance activities and repairs.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of work areas.
  • Assists in inventory management and spare parts tracking.
  • Follows all OSHA and internal safety standards.
  • Possesses a passport and the ability to travel to Canada and Mexico.
  • Has 3 years’ experience working as an automotive technician, HVAC system technician, elevator repair, electrician, building maintenance worker, or experience working with machinery, or equivalent experience.
  • Has 1–2 years of experience working in the material handling industry preferred but not required.
  • Experience with a CMMS platform is a plus.
  • Has working knowledge of handheld and power tools and how to use them.
  • Can troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and basic electrical defects.
  • Can interpret mechanical drawings.
  • Is self‑motivated, organized, and detail‑oriented.
  • Has knowledge of safe industrial work practices.
  • Has strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Has a customer service orientation.
  • Can work collaboratively in and contribute to a team setting.
  • Has intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Can follow maintenance manuals and procedures to repair equipment.
  • Is able to assist in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all material handling equipment and components (a plus).
Hourly Rate

$25.00 ‑ $38.00 per hour.
