A leading company in automation technology seeks an Automation Technician to modify PLC and HMI applications, troubleshoot electrical systems, and assist with startup and debugging of equipment. Ideal candidates will hold an Associate Degree and have 2+ years of relevant experience. Responsibilities also include responding to service calls and collaborating with engineers to meet project timelines.

Role Opportunities
* Modifying existing PLC and HMI applications to meet customer requirements (C-more, PVP+, FT Studio)
* Assembly of control panels and electrical sub-assemblies
* Assist with startup and debug of electrical / mechanical equipment
* Respond to service calls at customer locations
* Assist in selecting and integrating sensors, PLCs, Drives, HMIs, etc.
* Complete CAD markups / Redline
* Design / modification of small systems with support of Controls Engineer.
* Robotic troubleshooting and robotic painting programs
* Modify existing robot programs (Fanuc, ABB)
* Troubleshooting of paint peripheral equipment
* Respond to service calls at customer locations
* Working with project managers, mechanical engineers, and Controls and Automation to meet project timelines
Successful Candidates should have the following Skills & Experience
* Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering / Automation Systems Preferred
* 2 or more years' experience programming PLCs (Allen Bradley)
* 2 or more years' experience troubleshooting electrical systems
* 2 or more years' experience with low voltage and high voltage 3 phase systems
* Ability to read and modify electrical prints using AutoCAD
* Basic understanding of industrial network infrastructures, Ethernet/IP
* Good interpersonal skills
* Competent in various PC related skills including MS Excel, MS Word, email, and the Internet
* Possess the ability to interact in a team environment with customers, other employees, and groups
* Robot (Fanuc, ABB) troubleshooting and programming a plus.
* Strong Mechanical aptitude
* Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience
* Willingness to travel up to 15 - 30 %. Some international travel (Mexico) may be required.
Travel expectations will be 25%.
