Job summary

Chromalloy is seeking an Automation Engineering Technician to support the build, integration, testing, and deployment of advanced automation systems across manufacturing operations. You will work with Automation Engineers to assemble cells, wire controls, fabricate components, troubleshoot systems, and assist commissioning activities.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical Engineering Technology, Automation, Mechatronics, or related field; hands-on experience considered
• 3+ years in industrial automation, manufacturing equipment, or related fabrication
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
• Experience with electrical panel assembly, wiring, sensors, interlocks, and automation hardware
• Hands-on fabrication including welding, drilling, grinding, fitting, and equipment assembly
• Willingness to travel periodically for deployments and commissioning

Responsibilities

• Assemble, wire, and integrate automated manufacturing cells and equipment
• Build electrical panels, install field wiring, sensors, safety devices, and control components
• Support FAT, debugging, validation, and documentation
• Configure and troubleshoot PLC and HMI systems
• Interpret electrical schematics and drawings for assemblies
• Fabricate frames, guarding, fixtures, and tooling
• Assist with installation, startup, and commissioning at Chromalloy sites
• Maintain safety and quality standards in all tasks
