Job summary

Ampcus Inc. is seeking an Automation/Controls Technician for 2nd shift (3pm-11:30pm, M-F) in New Hampshire. You will work with engineers and technicians to assemble, wire, and test custom automation equipment including robotics, lasers, and feed systems.

The role focuses on hands-on repair, troubleshooting, and fabrication with opportunity to learn PLC and basic electrical/mechanical maintenance. Five+ years in manufacturing or related fields is expected.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in a mechanic/manufacturing/machinist environment or equivalent.
• Hands-on skills from repairing equipment, machining or fabrication.
• Willingness to learn programming basics and machine maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers and technicians in building automation equipment.
• Assemble, wire, plumb, test run, troubleshoot and repair equipment.
• Interpret designs; study SolidWorks drawings to guide builds.
• Organize materials from shop and vendors for projects.
• Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances; ensure quality.
