Job summary

EchoStar in Denver is seeking an experienced Industrial Automation Engineer to design and scale manufacturing systems, optimize PLC/HMI/SCADA controls, and lead end-to-end automation projects. You will create 3D CAD designs, test fixtures, and electrical schematics while collaborating with maintenance and production teams to improve throughput and product quality.

Candidates should have a BS in a relevant engineering field and 3–5 years of hands-on automation experience in manufacturing

Qualifications

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Systems, or Manufacturing Engineering.
Minimum Experience: 3–5 years in industrial automation, controls engineering, or automated manufacturing environments.
Required Technical Skills: PLC/HMI/SCADA, sensors, instrumentation, and robotics; 3D CAD for controls and fixtures; Lean Manufacturing and SOEs/SOPs.

Responsibilities

Designing and scaling industrial automation systems to reduce bottlenecks and downtime.
Implement PLC, HMI, and SCADA control systems with sensors and robotics to automate workflows.
Create 3D CAD designs, control panel layouts, test fixtures, and electrical schematics.
Develop standardized process documentation (SOEs/SOPs) and work with maintenance for preventive procedures.
Leverage AI and predictive analytics to optimize equipment diagnostics and reliability.
