Job summary

PerkinElmer’s OneSource TLS team seeks an Automation Application Specialist focused on protein purification at the GSK Upper Providence site in Pennsylvania. You will contribute to advanced protein biochemistry projects within a collaborative team, delivering high-quality automation support, assay development, and data interpretation to enable cutting-edge research.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Biology, Biochemistry or Chemistry.
• 3-5 years of hands-on biology/biochemistry lab techniques incl. FPLC, Western blotting and LC-MS.
• 3-5 years of automation instrumentation experience; familiarity with high-throughput platforms (Tecan).

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality research support in lab functions.
• Automation support, cell culture, assay support, high-throughput expression screens, molecular biology assays, protein purification.
• Sample preparation and/or buffer preps (including GxP), QC/QA protocols and analyses.
• Lab/equipment user-level maintenance, troubleshooting, lab prep work, and scheduled equipment quality checks (including GxP).
• Perform multiple experimental assays and maintain lab samples and materials.
• Write, maintain and troubleshoot experimental protocols.
• Analyze, synthesize and communicate data to technical and non-technical colleagues and collaborators.
