Job summary

Garver is seeking an Automation Specialist in the Oklahoma City area to develop PLC and SCADA HMI programs for water and wastewater projects. You will work with electrical, I&C, and process teams to deliver hands-on automation solutions and support clients on site.

The role requires a technical degree with 4+ years of industrial controls experience, proficiency with Rockwell and Schneider software, and strong communication skills. Travel to project sites may be required.

Qualifications

Associate degree or technical education in a related field.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial controls and automation.
Experience developing and supporting PLC and HMI applications.
Experience with Rockwell, Schneider, GE or Inductive Automation software.
Good communication skills (verbal and written).

Responsibilities

Develop PLC programming logic and SCADA HMI screens for water and wastewater automation.
Coordinate with electrical, I&C, process teams to align project requirements.
Assist in control system design including P&ID, network, and schematics.
Implement PLC and SCADA HMI applications during system commissioning at sites.
Collaborate with contractors and operators during construction and commissioning.
Maintain and update documentation for existing automation systems.
Troubleshoot instrumentation and automation issues to provide timely resolutions.
