Job summary

FITS, LLC is seeking an automation-focused professional to support Manufacturing, Packaging, Facilities and Utilities with PLC-controlled systems and automated equipment. You will troubleshoot, maintain and upgrade automation hardware and software across multiple platforms while adhering to cGMP and EHS standards.

Ideal candidates hold a BS in Engineering or related field, are bilingual in Spanish and English, and are comfortable with 12-hour shifts.

Qualifications

BS in Engineering, Electronics or Computer Science with 3+ years of industrial experience (co-op/internship counted).
Strong knowledge of cGMP and FDA/EMA regulations, including 21 CFR Part 1.
Bilingual in Spanish and English (verbal and written).
Shift: 12-hour, with hours 5:00 AM–5:30 PM as business needs require.
Experience with PLC/SCADA/DCS/BAS systems and related automation platforms.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support to Manufacturing, Packaging, Facilities and Utilities teams for automated, PLC-controlled systems.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on PLCs, drives, motion systems and smart devices.
Assist with installation, configuration, troubleshooting and upgrades of computerized systems (PLCs, HMI, SCADA, DCS/BAS).
Maintain software and documentation; contribute to CMMS spare parts and maintenance planning.
Write and review SOPs and work instructions for automated equipment.
Participate as a team member on automation and process improvement projects.
Collaborate with hardware/software vendors to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
Comply with cGMP, EHS and site security requirements.
