Job summary

LeadingIT in Woodstock, IL seeks an Automation Specialist to solve operational and technical challenges through smart automation. You will blend systems thinking with scripting to reduce repetitive tasks and enable scalable processes across tools.

You’ll build and maintain automations with Power Automate, Zapier, ConnectWise Automate, PowerShell, and Python; integrate platforms via APIs; and work with service, operations, and leadership to deliver high-impact improvements.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a role focused on technical automation, scripting, or process engineering.
• Advanced problem-solving ability with a strong attention to detail.
• Familiar with Powershell and scripting.
• Experience with MSP environments and tools like ConnectWise, IT Glue, etc.

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify process inefficiencies and create automated solutions.
• Build and manage automations across Power Automate, Zapier, ConnectWise Automate, and custom scripts.
• Integrate internal and client-facing platforms using APIs and webhooks.
• Lead automation initiatives for tasks like ticket routing, reporting, alert escalation, and documentation syncs.
• Document workflows and automation logic clearly and maintainably.
