Williams Companies, Inc. is seeking a Technical Specialist II to help ensure system integrity, compliance, and safe operation of pipeline facilities. This role involves troubleshooting, data collaboration with partners, and working within safety-first policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or Associates degree in a technical field.
• Minimum two (2) years’ experience in oil & gas industry.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or engineering preferred with four (4) years of progressive field ops experience.

• Performs routine and moderately sophisticated technical assignments that ensure system integrity, compliance, facility equipment maintenance and pipeline operations support.
• Engages in project planning and collaborates with company partners to ensure accurate and available data.
• Develops an understanding of the industry and operating requirements.
• Adheres to all Company policies and safety procedures.

As a Technical Specialist II, you will ensure system integrity while maintaining compliance, the safety of facility equipment and overall pipeline operations. Troubleshooting moderately sophisticated assignments and developing and cultivating relationships with company partners are keys to success in this role. Safety is also of utmost importance!

Education/Years of Experience:

• Required: High school diploma/GED and equivalent experience or Associates degree in technical field and a minimum two (2) years’ experience in oil & gas industry
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in a technical field or engineering and a minimum four (4) years of progressive experience in field operations or other technical specialty

Physical and Environment Work Requirements:

Must be willing to:

• Work in extreme temperatures, with loud noises and in enclosed spaces
• Carry or lift items up to 50 lbs and team lift loads of more than 50 lbs as needed
• Stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat, often for long periods of time
• Work at elevated levels, potentially from man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and/or small towers, with appropriate PPE (Personal Protection Equipment)
• Use hand tools

Shift/Work Hours/Travel Requirements:

• Available to work after hours, on-call rotations, nights, weekend shifts and holidays as the need arises
• May be required to work overtime, 10-12 hour shifts and travel between Williams locations with occasional overnight stays

Other Requirements:

• Must possess valid State Driver’s License and clean driving record
• Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as a main priority
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills and experience in Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), HMI, Allen Bradley and SCADA solutions
