Job summary

START is seeking an entry to mid-level manufacturing operator to run automated injection molding cells and robotic handling in an automotive interiors facility. The role emphasizes precise production with in-line inspection, 5S housekeeping, and teamwork to meet IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 standards.

Primary duties include start-ups/shutdowns of presses, part removal, trimming, and maintaining documentation. Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to interpret written and verbal instructions.
• Proficiency with measurement tools (calipers, gauges) and keen attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor injection molding presses and automated soft-trim equipment, performing start-ups, shutdowns, and basic parameter adjustments.
• Remove parts, complete trimming and secondary operations, and ensure soft-trim finesse and finish quality.
• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections using gauges, calipers, and templates; record counts and quality results accurately.
• Apply PPE, follow lockout/tagout, and adhere to all safety procedures.
• Perform routine cleaning, clear jams, and support maintenance/technicians as needed.
• Report equipment or quality issues promptly to Supervisors and align with Plant Manager, Quality, and Maintenance to meet goals.
