Job summary

KH Industries in Hamburg, NY is seeking an Automation Technician to design, develop, and implement end-to-end automation solutions for multiple industries. You will lead control-system projects, create software, and optimize manufacturing operations as part of a team of technicians and engineers.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical/electrical aptitude, PLC/HMI/robotics proficiency, and experience with SOLIDWORKS for drafting tooling and systems.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical related field.
• Proficient in PLC programming, HMI systems, and robotics.
• Strong mechanical design aptitude with ability to read, understand and create technical drawings.
• 3+ years of manufacturing or automation experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop control systems and software for complex automation and machine control systems.
• PLC, HMI and Robot programming to optimize automation processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate systems and achieve operational efficiency.
• Use SOLIDWORKS to design and draft automation and tooling for new manufacturing solutions.
• Develop and implement standard engineering practices, as well as provide detailed documentation upon project completion.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with control systems and implement corrective measures.
• Coordinate with project managers to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
