Job summary

TriSearch is seeking a Director of Industrial Engineering & Automation to spearhead strategy and execution of automation across a large fulfillment network. This role blends long-term vision with hands-on leadership of ASRS, AMRs/AGVs, automated storage, and material handling systems.

You will drive vendor management, ROI analyses, and cross-functional collaboration with Operations, Facilities, Finance, and Technology to ensure scalable, reliable solutions that boost throughput and capacity.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience leading automation, robotics, engineering, or related technical functions within complex fulfillment or production environments.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Systems Engineering, or related discipline.
• Deep experience with automation technologies such as ASRS, high-speed conveyance, AMRs/AGVs, robotics, and automated material handling.
• Proven ability to take major automation initiatives from design through implementation and commissioning.
• Strong experience managing automation vendors, systems integrators, equipment OEMs, and other technical partners.
• Experience evaluating automation investments from both technical and financial perspectives.
• Strong understanding of equipment reliability, maintenance, uptime, and lifecycle management.
• Ability to operate at strategic and technical levels, developing long-term vision while executing.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with ability to influence various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the long-term automation and robotics strategy and roadmap across the fulfillment network.
• Lead design, implementation, optimization, and scaling of automation solutions (ASRS, high-speed conveyance, AMRs/AGVs, automated storage).
• Engineer automation solutions supporting inbound and outbound product flows to improve throughput and efficiency.
• Lead automation projects from concept to vendor selection, system integration, and commissioning.
• Partner with third-party vendors, OEMs, and software providers for evaluations, testing, and commissioning.
• Establish performance, uptime, maintenance, spare parts, and lifecycle standards for automation assets.
• Develop technical and financial assumptions supporting automation investments and ROI.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Technology/Product, Facilities, Finance to integrate automation.
• Lead and develop engineering and maintenance resources responsible for automation performance.
