Job summary

Rose International in Missouri seeks a Software Engineer (Industrial Automation & Robotics) to design, develop, test, and maintain software for engineering and lab systems using C#, C, MATLAB, and Python.

This onsite role requires 5 years of automation software experience, a Bachelor’s degree, and the ability to integrate software with hardware, sensors, and robotics for on-site research facilities in Creve Coeur.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience developing software for automation, industrial, scientific, or engineering systems.
• Strong programming skills in C#, MATLAB, Python, C, or similar object-oriented languages.
• Experience integrating software with hardware systems, instrumentation, sensors, machine vision, robotics, or industrial control platforms.
• Knowledge of industrial automation architectures, control systems, and communication protocols.
• Experience with source control, software testing, and modern software engineering practices.
• Demonstrated analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to work full-time on-site at St. Louis, Missouri research facilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software for engineering and laboratory systems.
• Develop applications using C#, MATLAB, Python, C, or related technologies.
• Integrate software with instrumentation, sensors, cameras, robotics, and motion control platforms.
• Develop software interfaces between automation systems, databases, cloud platforms, and enterprise applications.
• Support machine vision and image-processing software applications.
• Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and technicians to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
• Troubleshoot software and system integration issues.
• Develop technical documentation, software specifications, and user guides.
• Follow software engineering best practices, including version control, testing, cybersecurity, and code reviews.
