Job summary

ATCO Rubber Products, Inc., a Mueller Industries subsidiary, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer in Fort Worth to shape automated manufacturing. You will design high‑performance mechanical systems, incorporating automation, robotics, and AI‑driven processes to drive efficiency and innovation.

You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to power next‑generation machinery, selecting components, creating 3D CAD designs, and delivering robust automated solutions for production lines.

Qualifications

• BSME or related field with at least 3 years in machine design; robotics experience is a plus.
• Solid Edge preferred; other 3D CAD software is welcome.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing, power transmission, robotics, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Passion for automation and AI-driven manufacturing with robotics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with a collaborative, team-first approach.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-performance mechanical systems integrating automation and robotics.
• Design and refine equipment with robotic assembly and advanced motion control.
• Translate complex assemblies into automated solutions with top-tier performance.
• Select components like power transmission, hydraulics and pneumatics for cost-effective solutions.
• Use 3D CAD to generate designs, drawings and BOMs.
• Diagnose and fix mechanical failures to keep production running smoothly.
