Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Maintenance Automation Technician in Chaska, MN to support highly automated production equipment and facility systems. You will focus on equipment reliability, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

This hands-on role involves working with robotics, PLCs, HMIs, servo and stepper motors, and vision systems to diagnose complex problems and ensure high uptime in a modern manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience troubleshooting automation and manufacturing equipment.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, robotics, sensors, servo motors, and industrial controls.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and technical documentation.
• Manufacturing environment experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and support production equipment reliability.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair automated production equipment and facility systems.
• Serve as a primary resource for controls, automation, robotics, and electrical maintenance issues.
• Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.
• Support PLCs, HMIs, servo drives, stepper drives, sensors, and vision systems.
• Troubleshoot and maintain industrial robots and automated manufacturing equipment.
• Diagnose network communication issues between production equipment and connected systems.
• Inspect, repair, and maintain electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, servo, and mechanical systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance on robotics and automated equipment.
• Adjust robot program points and assist with troubleshooting automation-related issues.
• Support custom-built manufacturing equipment and production systems.
• Complete work orders, maintenance documentation, and CMMS updates accurately and timely.
• Participate in safety, quality, reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives.
